Taste and learn how to prepare one of the world's healthiest cuisines!
Stroll the pedestrian streets of Athens sampling Greek specialties, visit a traditional farm in Mykonos for BBQ, sip the wine at a vineyard in Santorini and take a cooking class at a cave house in Santorini. This is a once in a lifetime experience!
For example in Athens we will visit specialty food shops, coloful & alluring delicatessens, aromatic tempting bakeries, sweet shops, restaurants, daires, spice, grocery and pie shops where you will sample and taste the most traditional Greek food and not necessarily the Greek food stereotypes such as "Greek salad" or "moussaka".
Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Athens
Upon arrival to Athens you will be met and transferred by private car to your hotel the 4* Titania or similar. Stay for 2 nights in a standard double room with breakfast daily.
In the evening, at about 8 p.m., you will be escorted to a traditional taverna in the picturesque neighborhood of Plaka to have dinner with live music, dancing and wine. Return to the hotel on your own arrangement.
Day 2: Half Day Athens City Tour
You will be met in the morning at approx. 8 a.m. and taken on the Half Day Athens City Tour to the Acropolis with roundtrip transfers to the hotel. You will also see the Temple of the Olympian Zeus, The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Pan Athenaeum stadium.
In the afternoon at 4:30 p.m., you will take a 3 hour Athens Food Walking Tour. Tour departs from a central meeting point, transfers not included.
Get ready to bite into a sweet, cream-filled, crunchy filo layered pie called bougatsa, fork into perfectly fried doughnut balls drenched in honey called loukoumades and savor a satisfying meld of flavors from warm pita bread filled with seasoned grilled meat, fresh veggies and a traditional sauce called gyros. This neighborhood walk revolves around sampling Greece's traditional food. In between each bite you'll gain insight into Greece's fascinating food culture, the evolutions of the country's cuisine and the healthy nature of locally produced organic ingredients. You'll also walk the city's quaint spice street and sample what's behind the glass counters at these family run delicatessens.
Tour includes: Food specialist local guide, food & beverage sampling.

Day 3: Mykonos
You will be met at your hotel and transferred to the port for your fast ferry to Mykonos. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel, the 4* Pentinos Hotel or similar. Stay for 2 nights in a standard room with breakfast daily.
Remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 4: Mykonos Town Walking Tour
You will be met at your hotel at approx. 9:30 am and transferred by car to town for a 3 hour Mykonos Town Walking Tour (10 a.m. - 1 p.m.). At the end of the tour you will have free time to explore the town or you can go back to your hotel and enjoy the beach. Only a one way transfer included, return on your own arrangement.
At 5 p.m. you will be met at your hotel for a Myconian Farm Barbeque.
Day 5: Santorini
You will be met at your hotel and transferred to the port for your sea transporation to Santorini. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel, 4* El Greco Resort or similar. Stay for 3 nights in a standard room with breakfast daily. Remainder of day at leisure.
Day 6: Venetsanos Winery
Morning at leisure. You will be met at 3 p.m. and transferred to the Venetsanos Winery for a Wine Tasting. Venetsanos winery is located right above the port of Athinios, overlooking the magnificent calders of Santorini. Sample a selection of local wines while soaking in the breathtaking panoramic views. When you are ready, return back to the hotel on your own arrangement.
Day 7: Cooking Class
You will be met at your hotel for a 4 hour Cooking Class in a Traditional Home that begins at 11 a.m. You will be welcomed to the cave house with some appetizers and local wine, while you get to meet your partners throughout this experience. A brief introduction to the histor of local products and gastronomy. A chef will guide you to the kitchen in order to start your cooking journey. You will participate in the preparation of traditional Greek dishes incorporating fresh local ingredients and will learn tips to make your food delicious. Then enjoy what we have prepared together on a beautiful terrace. You will share and taste your meal with the rest of our guests and partners in this experience. Before leaving you will receive a specially designed menu with all the receipes created so you can continue enjoying the experience at home and delight your friends with Greek cookery.
Day 8: Athens & Home
You will be met at your hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight to Athens and connect to your flight home.
*Economy class flight included in land package rate, please note earliest flight arrives to Athens at approx. 7:15 am, book onward travel accordingly.
